Garcia's not dead, he just left the building.

'He' shows up in dreams I (anyone else?) had over the past year or so, which is to say (we) focused on the man so much for so long that 'Jerry' is a part of us, such as a beloved Uncle or even Pops.

Sugar Pops Pete!

I'm "friends" on myspace with Grace Slick, but that's where I drew the line.

Myspace is some kind of pixelated estuary.

That's why my alter ego Unca Creepy isn't horndogging for "friends" for status or butter-upping, not even Forrest J. Ackerman who has thousands of myspace fiends already and answers comments all day long... I couldn't get through when I tried.
Most real (living!) celebs are way to busy to answer back, and just want to build up their fan base, and maximise their hit ratio (they must own stock.)
So finding long lost girl friends who've since become semi-famous was a bust for me.
Pam Tillis likes feedback on her bulletins but can't seperate a flash from an old ex-boytoy.
And no, I won't ask John Cipollina (who Pam kindly introduced me to in '77) to bew myspace 'friend'.

He can take center stage anytime in my dreams though, just like Jerry and even Janis (not to mention John and Yoko) sometimes 'do'.

Dreaming is free, there's no spam, and in my dream world when there's a live Dead or Big Brother show happening, it's 1967 or then abouts.
Yeah, a fast track to nowhere until that first ray of sunlight or cup of coffee dispels the illusions.

Even Adolph Hitler has a myspace page, it's really that stupid!

I've had him pop up in a couple of dreams over the past two years - and always starts with me at some show, be it JGB or GD, and then some type of interaction. The only problem is I wake up.

I've had the same Garcia dream several times. It's the Jerry Garcia Band playing Lennon's "Watching The Wheels" in my high school's auditorium. It always sounds great, and other than a touch of gray, Jerry looks rather healthy.

same here, just when the jam gets hot with The Other One or a fast number.

Been maybe closer to 2 years for me too, I wonder if, nah, couldn't be.

And a few times we talked, one time out on the curb...
another time in his humble pad, and he showed me the old purple sweater he had on the 1st album.

Which suggests these dreams of mine are surely reflections of my own subconscious.

Even in that dream, Jerry looked at me funny for asking him about that old purple paisley sweater, like he could give a shit.
It was folded neatly tho!

I didn't beg him to sell or give it to me, and I never ask for miracles.

So maybe his spirit does travel around to the dream bubbles of old (and new, cooler) heads.

We will prevail!

Janis hung out with me (in my dream) before the show, in the lobby of the California Hall.
It was around 1966, and damn, I woke up before her set started.
She looked great!
